Building Your First Voice Form: A Step-by-Step Guide
Getting started with Vocable is straightforward. This guide walks you through creating your first voice-powered form, from account setup to embedding the widget on your site.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up at vocableform.com with your email or Google account. You'll land in your workspace where all your forms live. The free tier gives you 100 conversations per month — plenty to test and iterate.
Step 2: Create a New Form
Click "New Form" in your workspace. You'll see options to start from scratch, use a template, or import an existing form. For this guide, we'll start from scratch.
Give your form a name and optional description. This helps you organize forms in your workspace and appears in analytics.
Step 3: Define Your Fields
Add the fields you want to collect. Each field has a name, type (text, email, phone, number, date, or custom), and an optional description that helps the AI understand context.
For example, a lead capture form might have: - Name (text) - Email (email) - Company (text) - Role (text) - Interest (text)
Step 4: Configure the Conversation
Vocable automatically generates a natural conversation flow from your fields. You can customize the greeting, adjust the tone (formal, casual, friendly), and add conditional logic for follow-up questions.
The AI uses your field descriptions to ask contextually appropriate questions. The more detail you provide, the more natural the conversation feels.
Step 5: Test Your Form
Use the built-in preview to test your form. Speak naturally and watch how the AI extracts field values from your responses. Adjust field descriptions or conversation settings if the extraction isn't quite right.
Step 6: Embed on Your Site
Once you're happy with the form, grab the embed code from the Share tab. It's a single script tag that adds a voice widget to any page. You can customize the widget's position, color, and trigger behavior.
